Steam Deck can pair Joy-Cons over Bluetooth and use them through Steam Input, but multiple users report a messy pairing experience: the Bluetooth menu doesn't clearly indicate which physical Joy-Con is which, mismatched pairs can connect together, and connecting more than one original Joy-Con has been reported to cause the Deck to reboot. Treat it as workable but flaky rather than rock-solid.
